Kamera berbasis sensor CMOS beresolusi 14 megapixel ini memang memang sesuai bgi mereka baru mencemurkan dgn dunia DSLR. Dengan bentuk mirip Nikon D3000, kamera ini hadir dengan kemampuan merakam video full HD (1080p). Kamera ini juga sudah dilengkapi prosesor Expeed2.

Nikon didatangkan dengan lensa kit AF-S 18-55mm VR. Selain itu, kamera ini masih menawarkan 11 titik Auto-Fokus (AF) didukung display LCD 3 inch beresolusi 230.000 pixel.
